Welcome to Book it with Briana, where I delve deep into the enchanting worlds of fiction and fantasy. I will primarily be posting my reviews on the books that I read and/or have read, but I will also discuss my thoughts on book adaptations and upcoming releases of books that peak my interest. I am in the process of writing a book, so you might also see some posts about my experience navigating through my first draft. I can be a tough critic on myself and others, but I hope you enjoy seeing into my mind one book at a time.
Who am I?
As I’m sure you know at this point, my name is Briana and I graduated college with a Bachelors in English with a minor in Technical Communications. As I have evolved into the more professional spaces of adulthood, I realized that I have not put my degree to use at all since graduating. I have worked in the medical field for the past 3 years, and have little to show for the degree I haven’t even hung on the wall yet.
My Fiancé is incredibly tolerant to my book rants, and has joked that he doesn’t even need to speak once I get started talking because of how long I can talk about the fantasy realms I enter into. One of the reasons I decided to start this blog page is to give myself permission to embrace my own creativity and build a community of fellow readers and lovers of the literary art. I hear we are a dying breed these days and I would like to change that, one review at a time.
Something you must know about me, however, is that I am no stranger to “DNF”ing a book if it does not fill the void in my brain the right way. I hope you can forgive me for that now because I can guarantee it will happen and be documented at least once on this page.
I currently have 3 fur babies including 2 cats (one is a menace) and 1 German Shepherd puppy. They are my whole world, and motivate me to do more in life so I can increase the quality of theirs. We got our newest addition in January of 2025 and have been enjoying taking him to new places to explore.
What I Offer
Book it with Briana is dedicated to insightful reviews of captivating fiction and fantasy novels. I will do my best to provide readers with engaging content, including discourse on upcoming releases and their film adaptations, creating a vibrant literary community. My goal is to create space for candid reviews on the books that sweep me away into other worlds.
One of my goals with this platform is to encourage readers and writers with interaction through comments and potential author collaborations that I hope will be full of different ideas and perspectives. I can’t wait to start the conversations and begin the next chapter together.
